1) To showcase my work for interested buyers;
2) To connect and collaborate with fellow artists.
The first purpose is a bit of a difficulty for me, since I have a full-time career and a family to take care of. Making cards has always tethered on the line between hobby and business. I'm perfectly happy making cute cards for friends and family and special occasions, except that people always ask me if I would sell them. How am I to say no? I have sold cards in consignment shops and privately to customers, but it's never been enough to make it into a legitimate business. So, I decided to let it be what it is- and if it ever changes organically, to flow with it.
Therefor, feel free to enjoy the cards on here, comment on them, or use them as inspiration for your own work. If you're interested in purchasing cards, the best way to do so is to contact me through email at thefirerabbit658@gmail.com. Perhaps one day I'll have an Etsy shop or an online store of my own, but for now, this is how it is.
**Pricing**
All cards are $4.25 individually unless otherwise stated. Orders of 5 or more will receive a discounted price. I will always put a note on each posting about if a specific card is available for sale or not. Sometimes I make cards for a specific person, but want to showcase it on my blog. Please know that all my cards are one-of-a-kind on purpose, and although I can make cards in similar styles and colors, no two cards will ever be the same.
**Sentiments**
Many of my cards have sentiments on the front (such as "happy birthday" or "thank you"), but all my cards are blank inside. This is on purpose, to allow the giver to write their own personalized message.
**Technology**
All my cards are handmade, and will forever be. I once used a computer/printer per customer request, and honestly, despised the results. I want the receiver of all my cards to feel special when they get one of my cards, and nothing inspires that feeling more than time and effort. Technology shortcuts are for pre-printed cards made in China. All of the cards I make come from right here in Albuquerque, New Mexico and are made with tools used by hand. The only tool I have that uses electricity is an embosser.
So, please enjoy my cards and feel free to contact me with comments, questions, or sales. Thank you!
